Glossary

Game-Used

Equipment used in actual gameplay — bats, balls, pucks, helmets, gloves.

Definition

Game-used describes equipment (as opposed to apparel) that was used in real gameplay. The provenance bar is similar to game-worn jerseys — documentation, photo-matching, or specialist authentication is required to anchor the higher value.

Why it matters

Game-used items can sell for many multiples of their team-issued or retail equivalents, but only when the use is documented.

Example

A bat used by a player in a documented at-bat, photo-matched by Resolution Photomatching to specific game footage. Priced as game-used.
